Angelica 'Angel' Jones as Firestar in MarvelNewDawn by Burningbird

After her mutant powers kicked in when still in high-school Angelica Jones became a crime fighter and stopped thievery and small time criminals in her neighborhood. Still very unexperianced she ran into the famous hero of Queens: Spiderman. Even if her powers were so diffrent to his own he tutored her what it means to become a hero and how to fight crime in a responsable way. Spiderman is also the person who introduces Angelica to the Xmen where she gets schooled in her powers.
When Angelica moved to Chicago and enlisted at the university Spiderman gave her a farwell gift: her very own costume and she decided to use his nickname for her as her hero persona: Firestar.
In university she met Vandslav 'Vance' Astrovik, an ukrainian exchange student with whom she fell in love real quick. After he developed feelings towards her aswell they both confirmed to each other that they were mutants. Together they form the midwester hero team the New Warriors.
